The Canadian muslims now include 3rd and 4th generation, newcomers and coverts. this growing population is suffering untold anguish, emotional pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD and diaspora stress, Islamophobia, violence, discrimination, hate speech, hate crime, fear, trust deficit with existing services and public sectors.

Practises and professionals across Canada have highlighted the need for a comprehensive financially sustainable and professionally staffed national institute that will serve the multifaced needs of the diverse Canadian Muslim population.
​
Muslim social workers, Mental Health Professionals, practitioners, Religious leaders, and community-based social services agencies have identified the most vulnerable populations to be Women, Youth, newcomers, and Refugees from war-torn areas and those struggling with gender identity and sexual orientation.
​
It is important to note that hate against people because of their race, faith, and culture leads to intergenerational trauma, grief, suppressed anger and the internalizing of negative and racist stereotypes impacts the mental and physical health and family relations.
​
After one year of extensive consultations across North America with professionals, community leaders, and practitioners for the needs of the Muslim Community regarding Mental Health Challenges, the Impact of Islamophobia, rise in Domestic Violence, Youth at-risk Behaviour, and homelessness.
Social isolation and violence against Muslims have exasperated and strained services.

The Institute Will Establish;
a Knowledge Hub - Research, Good Practises, Education, and Sector-specific Trainings.
​
Centre of Excellence - To deliver programming, and Services that address, and promote Mental health supports, Treatment, and Social Service Resources for Wrap around Trauma Informed Care. These services will be professional, culturally and Spiritually Compatible, and Infused in Psycho/Therapy, counseling, and Spiritual Resiliency Models.
​
Anti-Hate Islamophobia Advocacy - Develop a program in collaboration with Indigenous Organizations, adapting the Model of Restorative justice, Healing Circles, and best practices that will offer Healing to victims of Hate-Based Violence, Discrimination, and Racism.
Foster Community Resiliency Drawing from Spiritual and Cultural Strength, A Path Way to Recovery.
